About the Congress
Read about the assignment for the Nordic and Baltic partners. The Swedish university of agricultural sciences is the main host for the IUFRO World Congress 2024, supported by a large number of stakeholders in the region.
The World Congress, attracts 3 – 5000 participants from all over the world, including representatives from governments, NGO’s and industry. The Congress offers the host country the greatest of possibilities to present its qualities and messages to the world.
Stockholm as host city
The Capital of Scandinavia is quickly becoming one of the world’s most popular destinations for meetings, conferences and incentives. With a wide selection of conference venues and 33,000 hotel rooms, Stockholm is equipped for conventions of any size.
It is one of the few cities able to provide the logistics for prestigious conventions like the European Society of Cardiology, which draws more than 25,000 delegates at a time. No wonder it is ranked among the top congress cities in the world.
Excursions
The congress includes one week with knowledge exchange, networking and excursions in Sweden. Post excursions to our Nordic and Baltic neighbouring countries will make an important contribution to the congress program.
Experienced and dedicated excursion organizers are willing to open a dialogue about global trends and experiences from the Nordic forestry model. All together this includes a variety of landscapes, forest management systems, industries and stakeholders.
